These are three of the most important things in my life!
I am an elementary instructional coach in the Sioux Falls Public Schools. I completed my undergraduate at Augustana College for Elementary Education and Special Education in 2002. I always assumed I would teach in special education, but right after college, I joined the PDC program at the University of South Dakota and finished my Curriculum and Instruction Masters in 11 months. During this time, I was teaching my first year during this time at E.O. Lawrence Elementary in Canton, SD. After graduating and have our first son, I took a job in Sioux Falls at Lowell Elementary. This is where I spent my last 11 years, and I feel quite blessed to have done so. During this time at Lowell, my eyes were opened to the power of mathematical learning and understanding. After teaching and working with AVMR for 5 years, I began on a journey that led me to becoming an Math Recovery Intervention Specialist, an AVMR Champion, and most recently, due to a scholarship from Math Recovery, a Math Recovery Leader.
In my spare time, I enjoy working out, golfing, hanging out in the pool with the kiddos, and reading when I can. But, as a mom of 3, it seems like most of my time is spent cleaning and doing laundry. And yet...why isn't my house clean?!
